LCA EZZ House Corp

The EZZ Lambda Chi Alpha House Corporation is a body of involved and motivated Alumni who oversee the physical aspects of the chapter property, namely the chapter house. The House Corporation collects semesterly 'rent' from the active chapter and uses these funds to pay off the outstanding loans made in the Chapter's name.

Currently, there are two loans being repaid. These loans were taken in the late 1990's to cover the cost of flood repairs that were necessary for the Chapter to stay in operation. The majority of this money was required to replace flood damaged furnaces.

The House Corporation actively seeks Alumni donations as well to help fund its causes. In the recent past, these efforts and funds have beared a new roof, new windows, remodeled upstairs and downstairs showers, remodeled women's bathroom, new refrigerators, repaired water heaters, a hard-wired fire alarm system, a new outdoor shed, a new volleyball porch, and numerous other smaller items. To say the least - The House Corporation does a fair deal of work for our Chapter!!

The House Corporation meets twice a year at the Chapter house. In the Fall it is held the Saturday of Homecoming. In the Spring it is held in conjunction with the Alumni Hockey Event.

- Get house heat emission test and further insulate / weather strip entire house

- All dorm rooms: paint and fix ceiling tiles

- Replace air vents in dorm halls

- Fix hole in drywall in bottom and top bathrooms

- Get better fan in bottom bathroom

- Top and bottom hall bathrooms: replace sinks and all toilet/urinal fixtures, put in new counters and dividers, replace bathroom mirrors, replace wall floor boards

- Relabel fuses in fuse box

- Fix or replace bottom hall closet door (hole)

- Replace light fixture in dorm side back door entry way

- Repaint top and bottom shower ceilings

- Repair top hall stair banister

- Fix ceiling tiles in basement white room

- Purchase our own washer and drier machines

- Replace laundry room sink

- Paint in laundry room

- Paint in weight room

- Replace carpet in weight room

- Get new weight equipment

- Fix dry wall / paint on ceiling in chapter room

- Touch up paint in chapter room

- Get flags for chapter room

- Build concrete / brick deck extending from cement slab near door by dining room overlooking the volleyball court

- Pave the parking lot

- Add landscaping on lot's southern border

- Paint outside of house

- Add railings to kitchen side back entrance stairs
